The team
Robert Prime
CEO and co-founder, Mr. Prime
The one who takes the business somewhere new.
Robert is the one who takes Mr. Prime into new places: TikTok Shop before most agencies had heard of it, AI shopping assistants, our own tools. He runs across the whole business, sets the growth strategy, and still reviews the plan for every client.
He has been building, growing and selling online businesses since 1999, so he reads an account the way an owner does: what it makes, what it is worth, and what would make it worth more.
- Amazon marketplace strategy
- Ecommerce profit and loss
- Building and selling brands
What Robert runs
On your account.
- 01Growth strategy for every client, and the plan each account is judged against
- 02New channels and AI: TikTok Shop, Shopify and AI search, and the tools we build, One-Click and Impact Finder
- 03Exit planning, with the view of someone who has sold more than six businesses of his own
How Robert works
An operator first
He has sat on your side of the table, with his own money in the stock, so every recommendation is judged on what it does to profit.
Always on to the next thing
He spots where commerce is moving early, then makes it practical for clients before it is obvious.
A builder of businesses
Lead generation, insurance, Amazon, Shopify, publishing: he has built and sold in all of them.
Background
Before Mr. Prime, and alongside it.
In 1999 he built the UK's largest loan and mortgage lead-generation websites from his bedroom, ranking first in the world for "loans", and sold them to Click Insurance. He went on to build a 20-person life insurance business in Scotland and a remortgage brokerage.
He built and sold Remortgage.com and Telematics.com, which went to LexisNexis, and two Amazon brands that scaled worldwide in skincare and sports, one sold for seven figures after 18 months. He co-owned UpDownDesk.com.au and grew it on Shopify alone from £12k to £350k a month before he exited.
As a consultant he grew Brazen Gaming Chairs five times over in 18 months and Brush Baby's Amazon sales a hundredfold in just over two years, and advised Dragons' Den entrepreneurs and Canon on Amazon. He co-owns LoveReading, the UK book recommendation site.
Outside work, his proudest achievement is his family.
